There’s a reason the bacon, egg and cheese is a breakfast classic. Crispy bacon, fluffy eggs with a splash of milk, melted cheddar, and buttery toasted bread come together for the kind of sandwich that actually keeps you full. Make it on a wrap, roll, bagel, muffin, or toast depending on what you’ve got. It’s simple, satisfying, and always hits.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • pinch of pepper
  • pinch of garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Choice of bread: wrap, roll, toast, English muffin, or bagel

Equipment

  • Skillet

Method

  1. Cook the bacon: Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels.
  2. Whisk the eggs: In a bowl, whisk eggs with milk, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  3. Cook the eggs: Wipe out most of the bacon grease from the pan. Add butter over medium-low heat. Pour in the eggs and cook slowly, stirring gently for soft scrambled eggs. When they’re just about set, lay cheddar on top and let it melt.
  4. Toast the bread: Toast your roll, bagel, muffin, or bread. If using a wrap, warm it in the pan for 20–30 seconds so it’s pliable.
  5. Build the sandwich: Layer cheesy eggs and bacon onto your bread of choice. Close it up and serve hot.
