- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1¾ cup milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup butter (melted)
- 2 ripe bananas, pureed
Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar, and salt.
Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and pureed bananas. Stir until well combined.
Combine: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix. Batter should be slightly lumpy.
Cook: Lightly grease the waffle maker if needed. Pour the batter into the preheated waffle maker, using enough to just cover the waffle grid. Close the lid and cook until golden brown and crisp (typically 3–5 minutes depending on your waffle maker).
Serve: Remove waffles and keep warm. Repeat with the remaining batter. Serve with your favorite toppings such as sliced bananas, maple syrup, nut butter, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
