Ingredients
  

For the stir-fry
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
For the sauce
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey (can substitute with brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ cup water

Method
 

  1. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Cook the broccoli: Steam or microwave the broccoli until just tender (about 2–3 minutes). Set aside.
  3. Sear the beef: Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  4. Add the sauce: Pour the sauce over the beef. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  5. Combine: Add broccoli to the pan and toss everything to coat well in the sauce. Cook for another minute, then serve.
