Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (93% lean)
  • 1 box bow tie pasta (12 oz)
  • 3 cups spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan for topping (optional)

Equipment

  • large skillet

Method

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add bow tie pasta and cook until al dente (usually 10–12 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Season: Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir well.
  4. Add sauce: Pour in the spaghetti sauce and stir to combine. Let it simmer on low for 5–10 minutes to blend flavors.
  5. Combine: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix until everything is coated in sauce.
  6. Serve: Plate it and sprinkle Parmesan on the top.
