Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups frozen mixed berries (don’t thaw)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Nutmeg
  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • 8x8-inch baking dish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, toss frozen berries with brown sugar, cornstarch, vanilla and lemon juice (if using). Spread in the baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the berries.
  5. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the berry filling is bubbling.
  6. Cool slightly before serving.
