Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, toss frozen berries with brown sugar, cornstarch, vanilla and lemon juice (if using). Spread in the baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the berries.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the berry filling is bubbling.
- Cool slightly before serving.
