Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup Maple Syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • cups old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and maple syrup until smooth.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine whole wheat flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Slowly add to wet ingredients.
  5. Stir in oats, raisins, and dark chocolate chips until well combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
