Ingredients

  • cup oats
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup scoop protein powder (flavor of your choice)
  • ¼ cup fat-free milk
  • pinch of sea salt

Method

  1. Preheat and Prepare: If baking, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the oats, cocoa powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stir well.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mash the banana in a separate bowl, then mix in the egg, fat-free milk, and protein powder. Stir until smooth.
  4. Combine: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined and a smooth batter forms.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into a greased or lined ramekin or small baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  6. Cool and Enjoy: Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it as-is or top with your favorite healthy toppings like Greek yogurt, nut butter, or fresh berries!

Notes

For Microwaving: Pour the batter into a microwave-safe mug or ramekin and microwave on high for 60-90 seconds, checking for doneness.
