Ingredients
  

  • lbs flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper
For the Sauce
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
For serving
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Method
 

  1. Slice the steak: Cut the flank steak thin against the grain. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Worcestershire, honey, cornstarch, and broth. Set aside.
  3. Cook the steak: Heat 1 tablespoon avocado oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the steak in a single layer. Cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned. Work in batches if needed. Remove and set aside.
  4. Cook the vegetables: Add the remaining tablespoon of avocado oil to the pan. Toss in the peppers and onion. Cook 4 to 5 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp.
  5. Finish it: Return the steak to the skillet. Pour in the sauce and stir. Cook 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
  6. Serve: Spoon over warm rice and serve right away.
