Ingredients
Method
- Prepare the Sweet Potatoes: Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. Cut into even strips about 1/2–3/4 inch thick for fries.
- Soak the Sweet Potatoes (Optional for Crispier Fries): Place the cut sweet potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let soak for 30 minutes. This helps remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Season the Fries: In a large bowl, toss the dried sweet potato strips with avocado oil. Sprinkle with cinnamon, nutmeg, parmesan cheese, sea salt and black pepper. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Cook the Fries: Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring none overlap. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and slightly crispy.
- Serve: Transfer the hot sweet potato steak fries to a serving plate. Serve immediately with your favorite dip on the side.
