- Cook the apples: Heat a skillet over medium. Add butter, sliced apples, and cinnamon. Stir often and cook 6–8 minutes until the apples soften and get glossy.

- Make the waffle batter: In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add oil, water, vanilla, and cooked apples. Stir until combined, the batter should be thick but pourable.
- Cook the waffles: Preheat your Belgian waffle maker and lightly grease it. Pour in the batter and cook until golden and crisp, about 4–5 minutes.
- Serve: Top with additional warm cinnamon apples, maple syrup or just eat them plain.
