Ingredients

For the Filling:
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced Mix of Honey Crisp and Granny Smith
  • 2 tbsp sugar (or honey/maple syrup)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Crumble Topping:
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for a gluten-free option)
  • cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • ¼ cup melted butter (or coconut oil for a dairy-free option)

Method

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or pan lightly with butter or oil.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Toss the apple slices in a bowl with sugar (or honey) and cinnamon. Spread the apples evenly in the prepared baking dish or pan.
  3. Make the Crumble Topping: In a medium bowl, mix the oats, flour, and brown sugar. Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Assemble the Crumble: Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm. Optionally, top with yogurt, ice cream, or whipped cream.
